Capt. Brown, of the schooner MOUNT VERNON, which arrived about 10 o'clock this morning, with a load of wheat from Detroit, entered a protest at the Custom House. The MOUNT VERNON encountered a heavy gale on her way down and labored hard. She leaked slightly, and it was feared her cargo might be damaged.
