The Southport Telegraph says:- "A man fell from the upper deck of the PATCHIN into the lake, Wednesday night, near this place, and was drowned. We are told that he was an emigrant on his way to join his family at Chicago. A sailor we are told was drowned from the same boat since she left Buffalo.
