HARD AGROUND. - The schooner H.L. WHITMAN is reported hard aground down at Fighting Island with part of a cargo of stone on board. The tug OSWEGO, while endeavoring to pull her off yesterday damaged the vessels quarter somewhat seriously. - Detroit Free Press
