Brig FERGUSON, on reef off East Sister Island, jettisoned 700 bbls. beef; got off. Property loss, hull $2,500, cargo $10,800.

      We learn by a despatch from Capt. Barse, at Detroit, that the brig FERGUSON is ashore on the reef at East Sister Island, North passage. The tug RELIEF, from this port, has been sent to her assistance. The FERGUSON was bound for this port with a cargo of provisions.

      ASHORE. - We learn by a despatch from Capt. Barse to Capt. Dobbins, at Detroit, that the brig FERGUSON is ashore on the reef at East Sister Island, North Passage. The steam tug RELIEF, from this port, went to her assistance yesterday afternoon. The FERGUSON was bound to this port with a cargo of provisions.

The brig D. FERGUSON, which recetly got on the reef off the East Sister, came into port last evening. The Express says the captain of the schr. HAGAR bound for this port, saw the FERGUSON and went to her assistance, and after throwing overboard 700 bbls. of pok, the 2 crews succeeded in getting her off.
