      EFFECTS OF THE LATE STORM. - The brig WABASH, loaded with lumber, in attempting to make Chicago harbor, struck the bar and bilged. She drifted ashore south of the piers, with the loss of her bulwarks and part of her deck load. The crew and passengers, among whom were a woman with her infant about one year old, were taken off in boats.
