Milwaukee, April 27. - The Union Liner STARUCCA, during a heavy fog at 5 o'clock yesterday morning, ran on a reef off South Point. After five hours work by the crew of the life-saving station, two tugs and a steamer, the big boat was hauled free and towed into port. A large hole was stowed in the bow of the steamer, and until an examination has been made, it will not be known whether she can proceed on her way to Buffalo.

      STARUCCA BADLY HURT.
Milwaukee, May 3. - When the steamer STARUCCA ran on South Point last week, it was not thought her injuries would be serious. When placed in drydock, however, it was found that the plates on the port side were ripped open stem to stern, and that 25 at least would have to come off. The damage is estimated at $20,000. The corn cargo was insured about $5,000.
