The schooner MAUMEE VALLEY arrived at Detroit yesterday after a very rough experience on Lake Erie. While on her way from Toledo to Buffalo with 15,000 bu. of wheat she sprung a leak, and the weather being rough she was beached off Rondeau, Ontario. After the storm sibsided she was pumped out and once more set afloat. Her captain headed for Toledo, but the weather again got rough and he again headed his vessel, this time at Point au Pelee. When the storm went down she was pumped out and towed to Detroit. She had 3,000 bu. of wet grain, which she will take to Toledo, where she will be docked and repaired.
