The Maritime History of the Great Lakes
Swan (Brig), leak, 14 Aug 1860

Description
Full Text

The small brig SWAN sprung a leak and became waterlogged yesterday afternoon while laying at anchor in the stream. Being loaded with shingles and lath it was next to impossible for her to sink. She was accordingly righted by the aid of one or two small scows which came to her rescue.
