Cleveland, August 19 - Owners of the stmr. FAIRBANK were informed last night that the FAVORITE had got pumps aboard the stranded vessel. The boat is about 20 miles from a telegraph office.

      Sault Ste. Marie, Aug. 21 - The latest news from the stmr. N.K. FAIRBANK is that her arches show signs of breaking and the wreck is in extremely bad shape.

      Sault Ste. Marie, Aug. 22 - Five steam pumps have succeeded in freeing the stmr. N.K. FAIRBANK of water, but the cargo must be taken off partly before she can be released. It is expected that the wreck will reach here tomorrow night.
