The tug HERCULES yesterday took to the sunken NEW DOMINION one of the Burton's steam pumps and had it working hard for several hours, but late last evening the schooner was still on the rocks. The work of raising her is in charge of Capt. Dunlap, who will undoubtably have her to the surface as soon as possible. It is stated that when the NEW DOMINION is raised she will be brought to this city for repairs. She is 154 ton schooner (not 100 tons, as stated) and is owned by J.A. Mollale (or Mallole) who is also captain. - Detroit Free Press

The NEW DOMINION was floated early yesterday morning and brought to this city to unload her cargo of sand near the foot of 14th. St. Yesterday a diver patched her bottom so that the pump was un-necessary. She will probably get into drydock tomorrow. - Detroit Free Press
