Welland Canal - By a letter received here, the Hon. H.H. Killaly was to have been in town yesterday, to decide upon the tenders to be accepted, for the construction of the locks, branch cut, &c. of the canal. He had not arrived, up to the moment of our going to press, but was hourly expected. It is to be hoped, that no unnecessary delay will be allowed to take place in letting the contracts and commencing the work, as our vicinity is literally swarming with poor emigrants waiting for employment.

P.S. A few copies having been struck off, since the above was written, we have now the pleasure to announce the arrival of Honourable gentleman above alluded to.
