      About 4:00 Saturday afternoon the brig S.F. GALE, when some 35 miles this side of Pt. au Pelee, found the gale quite severe, and a sailor named James Blossington, who was engaged in reefing the main sail, was lost overboard. He has relatives in Pennsylvania and shipped at Chicago.
