ASHORE - The barge STAR, of Messrs. J.H. Henderson & Co., recently went ashore in the Gallop Rapids. She was bound from Kingston to Montreal with the grain cargo of the schooner PRINCE EDWARD on board. It is also reported that the barges SNIPE and MARTIN are sunk below. - Kingston Whig.

NOTE:- All three barges are still listed in the Dominion of Canada Vessel List for 1874, it is assumed that they were raised, however vessels have been known to remain on the Dominion Lists for years after they were totally wrecked ?
