Millpoint, Ont. - A steamboat collision occurred here this morning. As the stmr. JOHN GREENWAY was coming into the wharf at Picton, the Stmr. BAY OF QUINTE, from Belleville struck her hard on her port bow, causing her to take water rapidly. She was drawn into 4 ft. of water and then sank. Her passenger were safely landed. Damage about $4,000. She will be repaired in two weeks. The BAY OF QUINTE passed down without injury.
