Chicago, July 29 - The prop. WATATAM bound in with a cargo of iron ore, ran into a shoal spot off South Chicago today and remained fast the rest of the day The CRESENT CITY tried to pull the vessel off, but did not budge her and her cargo must be lightered. The shoal was caused by a dredge scow dumping its load in the wrong place.
