We learn from a special despatch to Capt. E.P. Dorr from Port Colborne today, that the schr. RUSSEL DART is sunk inside the pier at that place. She was cut with the ice. She is loaded with wheat from Toledo for Oswego.

Port Colborne, May 4 - The schooner RUSSEL DART, with wheat from Toledo, in towing into the harbor this morning, knocked a hole in her bows with the ice an is now sunk in the harbor.

Port Colborne - The schooner RUSSEL DART, wheat, Toledo to Ogdensburg, in coming into the harbor, struck a cake of ice, knocking a hole in her bow. She sank between the piers in shallow water. The hole is stopped up and the vessel pumped out and taken to the elevator where she is now discharging. Expected to be 4,000 or 5,000 bushels damaged....
It is reported the RUSSEL DART has 10,000 bushels of damaged grain.

      The schooner RUSSEL DART, reported as having sunk at Port Colborne, has been raised and towed to an elevator, where she discharged her cargo. About 4,000 bushels of grain were damaged.
