The Maritime History of the Great Lakes
Schriver (Propeller), collision, 12 Jun 1890

Description
Full Text

From the wording of some of the reports of the collision between the stmr. NIAGARA and the tug SCHRIVER, some have inferred that it was the NIAGARA's captain who went overboard during the accident, but such was not the cast. It was the other captain.
