A PROPELLER IN TROUBLE - Word was received here yesterday afternoon that the Northern Transportation Propeller CHAMPLAIN, had run hard aground on Fighting Island, near the light, at 2:30 o'clock, while bound up with a large load. The Canadian wrecking tug JESSIE was sent to her assistance, and at 9 o'clock last evening succeeded in releasing the propeller, and an hour or so later both were in Detroit. The CHAMPLAIN was not injured.
