The Maritime History of the Great Lakes
Andes (Brig), leak, 1 Nov 1860

Description
Full Text

The Detroit Advertiser says: The brig ANDES, on her last trip here, laden with coal, commenced when in Lake Erie, leaking fast. By great exertions by the men at the pumps, she was kept afloat and arrived here asfely. We understand that it is the intention of her owner to send her to Cleveland to be rebuilt this winter.
