MEMORANDA of steamer MADISON:- Brig St. LOUIS went ashore is a gale on the 2nd. November, at 2 o'clock A.M., at the "Sleeping Bear," 15 miles S.E. of the Manitou Islands. She was loaded with merchandise for Milwaukee and Chicago. Her cargo has been saved without damage, but it is supposed the brig will be a total loss, as she lies in only 18 inches of water, and the sea constantly breaking over her.

The Brig ST. LOUIS has gone ashore near the Sleeping Bear on the Michigan Shore-- the vessel will be lost. The brig INDIANA in a gale on Lake Michigan, threw over 1,000 bushels of wheat, and 300 barrels of flour; a part of the flour has been picked up on the east shore of Lake Michigan. The schooner DRIFT, also went ashore near White Lake. -- Milwaukie Herald.

The brig St. LOUIS, which we noticed a fed days since as being ashore, has not yet been got off. The latest accounts from the upper lakes represent her as lying in a very dangerous and exposed situation, with but little chance of being set afloat again.

Marine Diseasters.-- The new Brig. ST. LOUIS, Kyle master, is ashore ten miles from Sleeping Bear, in Lake Michigan. She lies on a sand bar in two feet of water, and in a critical situation. The cargo has been landed and placed in temporary sheds.

SHIPWRECK ON LAKE MICHIGAN. -- The loss of a fine brig is recorded under our Marine Head, the OSCEOLA, Capt. Scoville, a total wreck, at Southport. The brig St. LOUIS has been got off without much injury. -- Cleveland Herald.
