The Maritime History of the Great Lakes
Iron Age (Propeller), damaged machinery, 24 Aug 1898

Description
Full Text

The damage to the IRON AGE's engine is more serious than at first reported. Her bed plate is broken, and nearly all her machinery more or less battered. She will certainly be out of commission the remainder of the season.
