The Maritime History of the Great Lakes
John S. Minor (Schooner), leak, 1 Nov 1865

Description
Full Text

The schooner JOHN S. MINOR, with a cargo of wheat, arrived at this port yesterday in a leaky condition. Some weeks since she took on a cargo at Kincardine, C.W., Lake Huron, and after proceeding a short distance down the lake encountered a heavy south west gale, and was driven back to White Fish Island, on reaching which point she struck on the rocks, and immediately commenced leaking rapidly. A portion of her cargo is doubtless in a damaged condition.
