The officers and crew of the schooner EDWARD KANTER arrived at Detroit yesterday, and report the loss of that vessel on the night of the 26 ult. on the east shore of Lake Michigan, and about two miles distant from Leland. Capt. Weeks also reports the loss of the schooner W.G. GRANT, Capt. Donahue, on the east coast of Lake Michigan, and not far distant from the KANTER.

The schooner E. KANTER, which went ashore last fall with a cargo of railroad iron, some two miles east of Leland, it is thought will be got up with little difficulty. Her cargo of iron is now being taken out.

      WRECKING. - The wrecking steamer LEVIATHAN is employed in getting from the beach the schooner E. KANTER, which went ashore last fall some two miles east of Leland. She was laden with railroad iron. The cargo is being taken out of her and will be nearly all saved. When thus lightened Capt. Kirtland thinks there will be no difficulty, with sufficient steam pumps, to float her and get her into port. - Detroit Tribune.

      SCHOONER E. KANTER. -- Work on the wreck of schooner E. KANTER one mile north of Leland, Mich., is progressing favorably. Her cargo of railroad iron has been recovered and landed on the South Manitou Island. It is expected the hulk will be raised in a few days.
