L. J. Farwell (Schooner), U14613, collision, 1 Jul 1863
- Full Text
The tug DART (propeller) arrived down last evening, with the schooner L.J. FARWELL in a somewhat disabled condition, having had her jib-boom carried away while in the River St. Clair, by coming in collision with the propeller MENDOTA which lay at anchor in the stream. The weather at the time was thick and foggy and owing to this fact it is probable that no blame can be attached on either hand. The damage sustained by the propeller was of trifling import. - Detroit Free Press.
