The Board of Lake Underwriters report the brig HANOVER, from Saginaw, ashore on Point au Barque Reef, full of water. She was laden with 600 bbls. flour.

NOTE:- the above is not correct. The Brig HANOVER went overseas in 1862 and was sold in Germany in May 1863, a schooner HANOVER was on the lakes in 1863, but she lasted until 1867.
