STEAMER DOROTHEA HARD AGROUND
      Mackinac City, Aug. 8. - The United States Steamer DOROTHEA ran ashore in front of the vessel reporting station At Old Point Mackinac at 3:30 this morning. The steamer ran out three feet on a rocky bottom. She is now heavily listed to starboard and doubtless badly damaged. The DOROTHEA is the training ship of the Illinois Naval Reserve and was on her annual cruise when she stranded. The wrecking tug FAVORITE has been ordered to the stranded vessel from Cheboygan.
