The steam sand sucker BURROWS was sunk in the St. Clair River yesterday morning off Joe Bedour's dock, by what is supposed to be the C.F. BIELMAN. The BURROWS lies in 30 feet of water. Her captain attempted to beach her on the Canadian shore, but she was too seriously injured. The wife and son of Capt. Dan Allen were dafely landed but had a narrow escape.

All that has been recovered from the sunken sand sucker BURROUGHS, which went to the bottom in the St. Clair River, is the pumps and a small portion of her machinery. The wreck is now 25 feet under water, and will probably be abandoned to the Government

The sandsucker BURROUGHS has finally been raised by Capt. Quinn of Detroit. She sunk in the St. Clair River, and has been brought to Windsor for repairs.

MARINE NOTES. - Lieut. Col. Davis, district engineer at Detroit, has asked for sealed proposals to remove the wreck of the steam sandsucker GEORGE T. BURROUGHS from the St. Clair River. The successful bidder must clear the wreck away so that 21 feet of water is provided.

      CANADIAN COURT SOAKS AMERICAN OWNERS.
      Detroit, April 26.--The owners of the steamer C. F. BIELMAN have been assessed $4,264 by a Canadian Court as the result of a collision in St. Clair River last May, which resulted in the complete loss of the sand-sucker BURROUGHS, owned by C. W. Cadwell of Windsor. The cost of the suit and 5 per cent, interest on the award are also charged against the defendants.
