GALE. - The wind freshened last night, and today it has been blowing most of the time a perfect gale from the west. It is next to impossible that disasters have not occurred outside. The PEARL, from Malden, which came up subsequently, reports the brig VANGUARD fast in the mud at Fighting Island. - Det. Adv.
