The steambarge SCHOOLCRAFT, which lost her rudder in a collision with the tug HERCULES last week and had to be dry-docked for repairs, started up the lakes a few days ago. She met with another accident near Alpena Wednesday, and the barge MANISTIQUE has been sent to tow her to Detroit, where she will be laid up for the winter.
