FIRE IN A STEAMER.
A fire originated in the boiler room of the steamer OREGON while she was receiving a cargo of coal at Scott's docks yesterday evening at 6:15 o'clock. Mr. Berriman, an agent of Scott & Co., telephoned for tugs. The OREGON was towed opposite the hoisting engine and the pump extinguished the fire in short order. The loss was $200.
