The schooner MARENGO, which took on a cargo of coal at Ashtabula for Chicago, soon after her departure began leaking pretty freely while being towed with other vessels. On reaching this port her captain concluded to venture on the remainder of the voyage with an extra force of men, the tug to tow her through to the above port.
