The schooner O.M. BOND was lost on Lake Erie Thursday night. Two of the crew were drowned.

      Schooner O.M. BOND, of Oswego, stranded on October 14, 1886 at Rondeau, Lake Erie, when bound from Detroit to Buffalo. Vessel a total loss.

      The schooner O.M. Bond carried a cargo of 22,000 bushels of wheat. P. Ryan, the Mate and a sailor Joseph Hughes were drowned.

      Schooner O.M. BOND became a total loss in a heavy Southwest gale October 14, 1886. Two lives were lost. Estimated value of vessel and cargo $29,000.

The body of Patrick Ryan, one of the men lost off the schr. O.M. BOND, which was wrecked near Rondeau in the heavy storm of the 14th inst. was found Monday morning floating near the shore 40 rods east of Rondeau lighthouse. The body is in a good state of preservation.
