The steamer UNITED STATES, Capt. Whittaker, when some 14 miles out from Buffalo, on Saturday night, was run into by a schooner under full sail, and both craft suffered considerable by the collision. The schooner had her bowsprit and cutwater carried away, and the STATES had her wheelhouse [damaged ?].
