The Maritime History of the Great Lakes
Mountaineer (Schooner), aground, 23 Oct 1845

Description
Full Text

The schooner MOUNTAINEER sprung a leak on Thursday, became waterlogged, and was run ashore a short distance this side of Cattaraugus Creek. The vessel is not worth much, but will probably be got off. On Friday a part of her cargo was seen afloat in the lake, this side of where she grounded.
