VESSELS IN TROUBLE; TUGS GONE TO AID THEM.
      Mackinaw City, June 6. - The steamer A.W. OSBORNE of the Wilson fleet broke her crankshaft between the high pressure and intermediate cylinders off Middle Island, Lake Huron, at 6 o'clock last night. The steamer passed this point at 4:30, making about nine miles per hour, bound for Milwaukee with coal.
      The steamer PEGASUS, passed down at 9:30 A. M. reported a Pickands Mather steamer ashore on Simmons Reef. The steamer is the NEPTUNE, which passed up at noon yesterday. Tugs have gone to her assistance.

      STEAMER NEPTUNE RELEASED.
      The steamer NEPTUNE, which went ashore at Simmons Reef Sunday, was released Tuesday afternoon after lightering part of her coal cargo.
      The steamer reloaded the lightered cargo and sailed for Chicago last night. The NEPTUNE is not leaking.
