The little schooner VELOCIPEDE was discovered capsized and broken in two, off Kenosha Harbor, and her crew of three men disappeared and in all probability drowned.

      . . . . .

The capsized hull found off Winetka proves to be that of the schooner VELOCIPEDE. An investigation of the hull indicates that the schooner was run down by some steamer, as the hull is almost cut in two. It is believed that one of the large propellers ran down and sunk the vessel and drowned her crew and fearing the consequence the captain of the steamer neglected to report the matter. An investigation will be made and the responsibility placed where it belongs.
