The schooner S. L. MATHER, from Marquette to Cleveland with iron ore, was run into on Monday night by the MARY COPELY, near the Foxes, and sunk. The COPELY rescued the crew.

      The schooner SAMUAL S. MATHER was sunk by collision with the MARY COPLEY near the Manitous on Lake Michigan, Monnday night. She was owned in Cleveland and laden with iron ore.

Two seamen, E. M. Nelson and J. Rebrenson, have taken steps to have the schooner MARY COPELY libeled on her return to Milwaukee. They were on the schooner MARY L. MATHER, sunk in collision with the COPLEY some years ago, and lost all their effects, to recover the value of which they now threaten to bring suit.
