Three vessel went ashore at Cleveland during the heavy storm
on Monday night. The schr. G.W. DUNCAN went on the beach west of
the piers. She is little damaged and can be pulled off when the
weather changes. The schr. EMMA BLAKE went on the old Toledo
railroad pier, and is a perfect wreck. All on board were lost.
The schr. MARY of Detroit, went on the old Pittsburg pier, and
went to pieces very soon after. All on board were lost. It is
not known how many there were in the crew, but not less than 6
lives were lost by the disaster.
