The prop. L. SHICKLUNA was loaded to the water's edge and sunk this morning at 1:00 at Port Colborne. She lies in the Basin outside the Locks. She was loaded with 15,000 bushels wheat. Built at St. Cathrines by L. Shickluna in 1870, and was 406 tons burden; was owned by Northern Shore Transportation Co., London, Ont.; values at $30,000 and classed A1.

      We were in error yesterday in stating that the prop. SHICKLUNA was sunk. She took fire under the boilers between 1:00 and 2:00 yesterday morning and burned to the water's edge.

      The prop. SHICKLUNA on Monday morning had on board 10,000 bu. wheat, from Milwaukee to Montreal, which was insured for $20,000 in the following companies:
      Western of Buffalo ......................... $3,800

      Northwestern National of Milwaukee ......... $4,000
      Merchants of Chicago ....................... $2,800
      Cleveland .................................. $1,800

      On the morning of the 24th while the propeller SHICKLUNA was entering the locks at Port Colborne, fire was discovered and in ten minutes she had to be abandoned. The cargo consisted of 16,000 bushels of wheat the total loss of about $40,000.
