Amherstburg, May 22 - The stm. BYRON WHITAKER, which was sunk in
collision with the stm. JOHN C. GAULT on May 12th, was raised today and
brought to the dock here.
      Two steam pumps were required to keep her afloat. The remainder of the
cargo of corn is being loaded here.
