On Saturday night one of the seaman aboard the schr. J.C. FRETTER, while in a semi-intoxicated state, fell down the forward hatchway, striking the keelson with his left hip, a distance of 8-1/2 ft. He was picked up insensible, but no bones were broken, and yesterday he was able to hobble about.
