The schooner T.M. KNAPP, on her passage down, run foul of the spars of the sunken schr. FAIRCHILDS, 40 miles W. S. West of Long Point, and lost her fore-top-mast by the shock.
      The spars of the FAIRCHILDS were undoubtedly those seen and reported by upward bound vessels.
