The stmb. JOHN F. PARSONS, bound from Chaumont to Oswego, ran ashore on the south side of Stony Island on Thursday night about 11:30. Today at 1:30 P.M. the mate came to Sackett's Harbor in a small boat to telegraph to Oswego for a tug to come to her assistance. The PARSONS is owned and sailed by Capt. Frank Phelps of Chaumont and has a capacity of 325 tons.
