      The tug COMPOUND arrived in port Saturday with the schr. HARRIET ROSS, which went ashore 4 miles from Port Colborne, with a cargo of coal. The COMPOUND broke her cylinder head and piston rod when nearly in, and the tug BRUCE was obliged to go to her assistance.
