Henderson Harbor, Sept. 11. - The September fishing at Henderson Harbor has never been better than this year. Splendid catches of bass are made daily and over twenty-five muskelunge have been taken this month. Two were taken yesterday, one of which weighed 25 lbs. The notable improvement in the fishing this season and particularly the fine catch of muskellunge, is due to the protection from nets and the presence of the alewife on which the game fishes come into the bay to feed. The removal of the nets allows the muskellunge to come across the inlets and within reach of the fishermen.
