      A dispatch to Messrs. Fish & Armstrong yesterday reported that the barge T.H. ORTON, light, in tow of the stmb. PITTSBURG, from Buffalo, struck the pier at Erie and filled with water.

      Barge ORTON, which struck the pier and sunk at Erie, has been got inside and was to be in dock last evening. So says a dispatch to Capt. John McKenna.
