B. S. Shepard (Schooner), lost bowsprit, 1 Apr 1858

Description
Full Text

We notice the arrival of a number of vessels from Oswego and other ports below, most of which came up light, being unable to obtain cargoes. They are to load with grain, which will doubtless have the effect of depreciating freights.
The B.S. SHEPPARD another of the same fleet, lost her bowsprit on Sunday morning, in consequence of some disorder in her rigging, a stiff breeze blowing at the time. - Chicago Press, 20th.
