AN ITEM OF INTEREST
Collector [of customs] Bell informs The Post and Tribune that steam pumps manufactured in the United States and purchased by Canadian parties and taken to Canada may be used in American waters upon production of a certificate setting forth such manufacture, provided no repairs have been made to such pumps in Canada, in which case they cannot be used this side of the international boundary under any circumstances.
