A dispatch to Capt. Tom Collins yesterday, stated that his schooner, the HARRIET ROSS, was ashore at Ashtabula, and had 4 ft. of water in her. She is loaded with coal for Buffalo. The tug DAYTON, with steam pumps and wrecking apparatus, has gone to her assistance.

Capt. Byers of the tug DAYTON, who went to the relief of the schr. HARRIET ROSS, ashore at Ashtabula, telegraphed yesterday that he had got pumps on board the schooner and thought that there would be little difficulty in getting her afloat. The tug BRYANT has been dispatched to assist in bringing the vessel to this port.

The schr. HARRIET ROSS, recently ashore near Ashtabula, arrived in port about 10:00 last evening in tow of the tug DAYTON. After unloading her coal, she will be placed in drydock for repairs, which it is thought, will not be very extensive.
