      The large schr. G.W. ADAMS struck an obstruction in Lake St. Clair Tuesday night, causing a bad leak. A steam pump was put on board at Detroit and the vessel is now on her way to this port. She is loaded with 125,000 bu. oats.

      Among the arrivals this morning was the schr. ADAMS, which struck at the head of Peche Island, Tuesday, and sprung a leak. An extra crew was shipped at Detroit, and by keeping the pumps going the vessel was kept compartatively free of water. She is loaded with 125, 000 bu. oats.

      The schr. ADAMS will go into Mills & Co.'s large drydock after unloading her cargo to have a leak stopped. At last account not a single bushel had been damaged. She was unloading at the Bennett Elevator this morning.

      The large schr. ADAMS, which recently grounded on the head of Peche Island, came out of Mills & Co.'s dock yesterday, having completed her repairs. About 4 or 5 ft. of her keel was broke off near the fore-foot.
